KETTLE revives meat-flavoured crisps with a gourmet Aberdeen Angus ribeye offering
KETTLE is returning to meat-flavoured crisps with a new premium Krinkle variant featuring Aberdeen Angus Ribeye Steak & Peppercorn, supported by the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 sponsorship, signalling a push into the gourmet snack market.
KETTLE is returning to meat-flavoured crisps with a new Krinkle variant, Aberdeen Angus Ribeye Steak & Peppercorn, as the brand seeks to extend its premium range and tap into a part of the category that remains the second-largest after salted snacks, according to the launch announcement.
The company says the new recipe uses real beef and leans on the provenance of Aberdeen Angus ribeye steak to deliver a more gourmet, ridged crisp aimed at shoppers looking for a richer texture and a more indulgent snacking experience. KETTLE also said consumer testing put the flavour ahead of its main competitor on overall opinion and purchase intent.
The launch will sit alongside established Krinkle flavours including Lightly Salted, Sweet Chilli & Sour Cream, and Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. Michael Inpong, chief marketing officer at Valeo Foods UK, said the flavour was designed to bring a "gourmet, provenance-led" meat option to the range and to emphasise the brand's signature crunch.
KETTLE is also using sport to support the rollout. The 40g packs will be sold in stadiums during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which runs in England and Wales from 12 June to 5 July, after the brand was named an official supporter of the tournament by the International Cricket Council. The new snack is already rolling out through wholesale and impulse channels, with a 130g sharing bag due to arrive in Tesco next month.
