The Quality Food Awards – recognising the finest food products, available to purchase in the UK.
Now in its 45th year, the Quality Food Awards are the longest-running, most prestigious food awards in the UK; they cast a spotlight on products that offer fine ingredients, great taste and aroma, beautiful packaging and amazing value for money.
The Quality Food Awards are not just about new products - our judges are looking to reward excellence in food and soft drinks, regardless of when a product was launched. If it tastes great and looks great, a well-established product is as eligible to win an award as one that was launched in the past 12 months.
We do ask that the product is on sale by the time the award results are announced.
Winning a Quality Food Award is an outstanding achievement. It means that your product has been judged to be the very best by renowned industry experts – and that really is something to shout about.
The entry process
Here at the Quality Food Awards, we are renowned across the UK food and drink industry for our stringent processes and we have been evolving these over the 45 years that the awards have been running.
We understand how much time, effort and money are invested into creating a product and bringing it to market, and our entry process is designed to be as simple for you as possible, while giving you the opportunity to tell us everything about your product so our judging panel have all the information when it comes to sampling your product.
We have summarised our entry process below.
To be eligible to enter the Quality Food Awards, the criteria is that your product(s) must be available to purchase in the UK, either instore or online, and on sale by the end of October.
Products don't necessarily have to be produced in the UK, and they don't need to be brand new to the market.
Don't forget, if you are a Small Producer, you may be eligible for our Small Producer discount! If you have fewer than 10 members of staff, and your annual annual sales are less than £2 million, simply let us know on the link below and you will automatically receive your discount code.
The entry process for the Quality Food Awards has been created to be as simple as possible:
- Create an account on the Quality Food Awards website
- Select the category that is the best fit for your product
- Add your product information
- Enter your payment details
Once entries are open, producers and retailers are invited to browse the product categories and select the one which is the best fit for your product. Each category relates to a single product as sold instore.

The categories are structured to provide a range and variety of options, ensuring that every food product has a place in the awards.
Following the submission of your entry you will receive an email confirming receipt, and your invoice will follow.
Delivery instructions for your tasting samples will be sent to you approximately a month before judging.
All entries must be accompanied by product samples to be considered for a Quality Food Award. Please ensure that you provide us with the recommended number of products, in their packaging; It is important that our judges can experience your product as consumers would - if packaging is not available, please include visuals of how the packaging will look
